Because Only Together We Can

Build a World Where Children Are Strong, Healthy & Safe

Who We Are

Partnering to build a world where the American Dream is encouraged and more attainable, not only in America, but in various parts of the world.

The Mencia Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was created to continue the efforts of Miguel and Argentina Mencia in supporting and encouraging education by providing essential resources to those in need.  We help underprivileged children and youth of the Dominican Republic and other Latin American countries by helping them attain an education and build a better future.

Our goal is to expand our mission to include more schools, more individuals, and also to create a scholarship fund.  But, we cannot do this by ourselves.  We need your help!

What We Do

01.

— We Find & Fund

The Mencia Foundation is dedicated to giving to underprivileged schools and communities the resources to attend school.  We provide clothes, shoes, uniforms, school supplies, and more to students of low-income.

02.

— We Provide Care

Our Foundation supports orphanages and shelters by providing the basic resources for daily living and to attend school.  Every year, we provide nonperishable foods, shoes, clothing, and back to school supplies.

03.

— We Strengthen

At The Mencia Foundation, we strongly believe in the importance of playtime.  Once a year, we provide toys that will promote intellectual, emotional and/or physical development.

Impact Stories

Back to School - Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is one of the poorest countries in the Americas. One of the challenges is their undeveloped towns and rural areas. For families living in these communities, transportation is very difficult and traveling to the nearest town/city is challenging and buying their necessities is a burden. Additionally, most children walk to schools, and when it rains, they cannot get to school at all.

Orphans in Juarez, Mexico

Due to extreme crimes in the city of Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico, many children have been left orphans, without parents to take care of them. Orphanages are overflowing with children and do not have enough food to provide to the children. Sometimes all they have to eat is a bowl noodle soup. We help support these children by providing them with nutritious foods, school supplies, and toys.
